What is mobile detailing and how does it work?

Mobile detailing means we come to you — no drop-offs, no waiting rooms, no inconvenience. I bring all the professional equipment, products and water needed directly to your home, workplace or wherever your car is parked. You carry on with your day while I take care of everything.

Where do you service?

CG Mobile Detailing operates across Gippsland including Sale, Traralgon, Bairnsdale, Maffra, Heyfield and surrounding areas. Not sure if we cover your area? Send us a message and we'll let you know.

Do I need to be home during the detail?

Not at all. As long as we have safe access to your vehicle and a nearby power and water source, you don't need to be present. Many clients simply leave their car and come back to a transformed vehicle.

Do you bring your own water and power?

For most jobs I can work with access to a standard garden tap and outdoor power point at your property. If your location has limited access, get in touch before booking and we'll work something out.

How long does each service take?

• Interior Valet — approximately 2–3 hours

• Exterior Valet — approximately 1.5–2.5 hours

• Ultra Valet — approximately 3–4.5 hours

• Showroom Package — approximately 4–6 hours

• Pre-Sale Detail — approximately 3–4.5 hours

• Ceramic Coating — approximately 4–8 hours depending on vehicle size and condition

Times may vary depending on the size and condition of your vehicle. I never rush a job — every vehicle gets the time it deserves.

What's the difference between a regular wash and a professional detail?

A regular car wash removes surface dirt. A professional detail goes several layers deeper — decontaminating the paint, removing bonded iron and tar deposits, deep cleaning every surface inside the vehicle, and leaving a finish that a standard wash simply can't achieve. The results speak for themselves.

My car is really dirty inside — is that okay?

Absolutely. In fact that's exactly what we're here for. Whether it's years of built-up grime, pet hair, food spills, or a car that just hasn't been cleaned properly in a long time — we've seen it all and we handle it all. No judgement, just results.

Can you remove pet hair?

Yes. Pet hair removal is included as part of our interior detailing process. Heavily affected vehicles may require additional time but we'll always let you know upfront.

Can detailing remove scratches?

Light surface scratches and swirl marks can often be significantly improved through our detailing process. Deep scratches that have cut through the clear coat or paint layer may require paint correction, which we can discuss and quote separately. If you're unsure, send us a photo and we'll give you an honest assessment.

How long will my detail last?

This depends on how the vehicle is used and maintained after the service. As a general guide:

• Interior Valet — 4–8 weeks with regular use

• Exterior Valet — 2–4 weeks

• Wax or sealant (Showroom Package) — 2–4 months

• Ceramic Coating — 2–5 years depending on the product and maintenance

What is ceramic coating and is it worth it?

Ceramic coating is a professional-grade liquid polymer that chemically bonds to your vehicle's paintwork and creates a permanent protective layer. Unlike wax which lasts weeks, a ceramic coating lasts years — repelling water, UV rays, dirt, bird droppings and light scratches while keeping your car looking cleaner for longer. For anyone who loves their car and wants to protect its value and appearance long term, ceramic coating is absolutely worth the investment.

Do you detail boats and caravans?

Yes. CG Mobile Detailing services boats, caravans and other recreational vehicles across Gippsland. Get in touch with details about your vehicle and we'll provide a custom quote.

How do I book?

Booking is easy — simply click the Book Now button on this website and select your service, date and time. Alternatively you can send us a message via the Contact page or DM us on Facebook or Instagram and we'll get back to you fast.

Do you charge a travel fee?

Travel is included for locations within our standard service area. For jobs located 40km or more from Sale, a travel fee of $30 applies. We'll always let you know upfront before confirming your booking.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, bank transfer and card payments on the day. Payment is due upon completion of the service.

Do you require a deposit?

For standard bookings no deposit is required. For ceramic coating bookings a deposit may be required to secure your appointment. We'll confirm this at the time of booking.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that life happens. We simply ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your booking so we can offer that spot to another client. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee.

Do you offer discounts for multiple vehicles?

Yes — if you have more than one vehicle to be detailed at the same location, get in touch and we'll put together a package price that works for you.

Are you insured?

What products do you use?

We use professional-grade, industry-leading detailing products across all of our services. We don't cut corners on products because the quality of what goes on your car directly affects the quality of the result you get.

Have you detailed vehicles like mine before?

We've detailed sedans, SUVs, utes, trucks, caravans, boats and everything in between. No vehicle is too big, too small or too dirty. If you have a specific vehicle or concern, feel free to reach out before booking.
